A Speech-Language Pathologist and Feeding Therapist
Guiding infants, children, and families in Northern VA to flourish through each stage of feeding
Welcome to Flourish Feeding Therapy of NoVA
Feeding your infant or child isn’t always straightforward—and when it feels overwhelming, you don’t have to navigate it alone. At Flourish, I’m here to support families through each step of their child’s feeding journey, fostering positive and meaningful mealtime experiences in every setting.
My goal is to create a nurturing, collaborative space that empowers caregivers and honors each child’s individual pace. Through compassionate, evidence-informed care, I aim to help your child build confidence and comfort with feeding—while offering steady guidance as you navigate this important part of your family’s life.
Whether you're seeking guidance after a NICU discharge, support for tube weaning, help navigating oral aversion, aspiration risks, or challenges moving through feeding milestones, you're in the right place.

About me.
Hi! I’m Shannon, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Virginia with over 24 years of experience—and over 16 years specializing in pediatric feeding and swallowing. I'm also a mom of two, and I live with my family in Northern Virginia.
I’ve spent the majority of my career working in pediatric outpatient hospital settings and in Early Intervention, helping infants and young children with a wide range of feeding needs. From post-NICU feeding transitions to managing complex medical conditions, I bring a wealth of experience and deep compassion to every family I work with.
I believe in a preventative approach to feeding support, focusing on building strong foundations from the start. My goal is to equip families/caregivers with tools and strategies that foster long-term success rather than only addressing problems as they arise.
I bring a comprehensive, whole-child lens to feeding support. My philosophy is rooted in family-centered, responsive, and child-led care, with a mission to empower caregivers as their child’s strongest advocate.
Outside of work, you can find me hiking with my kids, reading, or planning/dreaming of my next travel adventure (when life allows!).
I look forward to working with your family to achieve your feeding goals!
